Boldenone Undecylenate is commonly known by the brand name of the veterinary compound Equipoise. Boldenone undecylenate was synthesized when chemists were attempting to manufacture a long lasting parental version of dianabol but the resulting compound was unique from methandienone in action and effect even though it was chemically similar.

Many users compare Boldenone to Deca (Nandrolone Decanoate) as both are relatively mild compounds with few side effects and are long acting. Like Deca, Boldenone seems to have a positive effect on the action of the body joints in turning helping with pain in those areas. Also like Deca, Boldenone appears to be an effective compound for gaining both strength and mass and works very well in most any stack. Unlike Deca, gains from Boldenone seem a little more solid and slowly attained. Some users report better strength gains from Boldenone as well. The differences are not surprising because despite the frequent comparisons, Deca and Equipoise are actually quite different and could in fact be stacked together if a user was so inclined. Since Boldenone gains tend to occur slowly, due in large part to the very long undecylenate ester, users tend to favor longer cycled of this product with 12 weeks considered the minimum for most. Boldenone does not exhibit much water bloat in most users so it has found use as a hardening compound as well as a favored compound for dry strength gains. Additionally, Boldenone has a pronounced effect on red blood cell production in turn increasing vascularity in many users. Boldenone also has a stimulating effect on appetite which many users enjoy when attempting to add size. Doses of Boldenone usually range from around 400-600 mgs/week with some users going as high as 1000 mgs with few reported side effects.

Due to it's chemical structure, Boldenone does not demonstrate much in the way of estrogen related side effects. Women occasionally experiment with this compound as well in the neighborhood of 25-50 mgs/week. Side effects are few with Boldenone, aside from an increased appetite and an increase in RBC count the most significant side effect reported from users is the suppression of the HPTA - a side effect of practically all anabolic steroids. Gynecomastia is possible, especially with those sensitive this side effect but can be managed with either a SERM or an AI. With larger long running doses the increase in red blood count may be so profound that blood pressure and increased risk of clotting become a concern. Supplements that encourage blood thinning and/or making a stop at the blood donor clinic are often considered by boldenone users.
